Habakkuk 2:4 tells us, “…the righteous shall live by his faith” And the Apostle Paul reminds us of that in Galatians 3:11, “…The righteous shall live by faith.”
Our entire life as a Christian is dependent upon how great is our faith in God. In fact, the Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” It all comes down to how much do we believe about God and His Word?
I like what Brother Lawrence (1614-1691) wrote,
“The difficulties of life do not have to be unbearable. It is the way we look at them – through faith or unbelief – that makes them seem so. We must be convinced that our Father is full of love for us and that He only permits trials to come our way for our own good.
Let us occupy ourselves entirely in knowing God. The more we know Him, the more we will desire to know Him. As love increases with knowledge, the more we know God, the more we will truly love Him. We will learn to love Him equally in times of distress or in times of great joy.”
As I have mentioned time and again – it all boils down to “Do We KNOW GOD?”. And again, I don’t mean do we know ABOUT God…but do we KNOW Him?
“Let us occupy ourselves entirely in knowing God.” – and let us seek to have our faith in Him increased daily! Either He IS Who He claims to be in His Word, or none of His Word is true!
“so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;” (Colossians 1:10)
