A Caution!

Jesus in Luke 9:62 said: “But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

A LOT of times people get all excited about knowing God, and so for a week or a month, they focus on God, and they give it everything they got, but then they slowly let their old life creep back in, and they fall away.

It is VERY VERY easy to spend time focusing on God, and then slowly but surely allow the entertainments and pleasures of this world work their way back into our lives, causing us to fail in our Christian life.

We CANNOT just add Jesus to our current lifestyle and turn Him on and off as we please. It doesn’t work that way.

The Bible warns us “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” (Romans 13:14).

Make Jesus Christ FIRST in your life, and KEEP Him there. Yes, we have to give up some stuff we might not want to, we have to make some changes that might not be fun…but as I’ve said MANY times – IT IS WORTH IT!!!

The problem with 1000’s of people who claim to be Christians today is – they don’t want to do what it takes to make Jesus First in their lives, and they wonder why they don’t experience true peace and joy.
