“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
When we become a Christian, and give our lives to God, he doesn’t send us a questionnaire with 100 questions to let us pick and choose what He will do with our lives, what kind of “trials” we want to face, and where we want to be 10 years from now. No, He IS GOD! He knows exactly what is perfect and best for our lives, and He doesn’t need our input or “suggestions” or approval.
One of the hardest parts of living the Christian life is for us to completely let go of everything and let HIM have 100% control.
If a master painter is working on a new painting that will inspire and awe people the world over, he doesn’t paint 90% of the painting and then give the brush to a young kid and say, “Okay, you paint in the rest of what I’ve started.” No, the kid would most likely ruin what the “Master” had started.
That’s what a LOT of people do with our lives though, they almost ruin what the “MASTER” has started because they give up on God or get angry with what He is doing in their lives.
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
43 years ago, when God allowed cancer to come into my life, it was NOT fun! And many of the side-effects or results of that cancer which I face even today are not fun. However, God wasn’t destroying my life when He gave me cancer. He was creating my life. He had a plan all along, and today as I see His amazing work in my life – I can see that His plan was PERFECT!
Be still, and know that He IS God, and as GOD, He knows EXACTLY what He is doing.
Be still, and know that He IS God, and as GOD, He knows EXACTLY what He is doing in each of our lives.
