When we meet someone new that we want to get to know better, we have to talk to them, spend time with them, and focus at least some of the time on what interests them. The same is true with Almighty God. If we want to grow in our relationship with Him, we must become more like Him. We must come to Him honestly, confessing our sins and repenting of wrong – because in Him there is no darkness AT ALL!
We also must understand that without Him, we have no hope, there is no wisdom or knowledge apart from His wisdom and knowledge, and that should lead us to becoming more interested in what interests Him. If we truly want to know Him, we must realize it will cost us. It will cost us our selfish desires. It will cost us our friendship with the world. And it will cost us everything that we have. Only then can we begin to know Him.
However, no matter what it costs us, no matter what we have to “lose” in order to gain a life-changing relationship with Him is well worth it! Forget everything else that the world, the flesh, and the devil offer you – they will never satisfy you! Only He can truly satisfy us and make our lives worth living!
The more I seek to follow Him and serve Him, the more I realize HOW IMPORTANT it is to KNOW HIM! I’m not just writing this to write something – it is HIGHLY URGENT that we KNOW GOD more!!! Too many people take this lightly!
