It seems everywhere we go in today’s technological world, there are cameras watching us. When we get online, browsers and service providers keep track of all we do. When we go places, our cellphones know where we are, and track us as well. It seems we can’t hardly find a place in this world that we are not watched, tracked, or at least someone (or some computer) knows we are there. Some people complain about this, and some people fight against it. People argue that we have a right to privacy and a right to do whatever we want without anyone knowing about it.
The technology that tracks and watches us in today’s world is fallible and certainly not error proof, and it messes up at times and even fails. However, there is another person who watches all we do, and even knows our thoughts and desires of the heart.
“No creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
“For his eyes are on the ways of a man, and he sees all his steps.” (Job 34:21)
“…For he knows the secrets of the heart.” (Psalm 44:21)
If you ever watch a spy movie, you’ll see how the actors many times trick security cameras, override them, or feed them false video so that the spy or whoever can get into places without being seen and hide from those watching. But, we can’t hide anything from God, He knows and sees everything! Have you thought of Him whose eye has been upon you today? Have you given so much as one thought to Him, since the day began? He is who we should care about and always remember that we must give an account to Him who sees and knows all things one day!
“But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!” (Luke 12:5)
